living with two passions in life
In addition to my theater work, which has so far taken me to guest performances and festivals in 45 countries around the world, I have been concentrating more and more on the visual arts in recent years.
While my stage creations were mostly inspired by works of the visual arts, I now take the stories off the stage and bring them directly onto and in my pictures. This is how I combine my passion for traveling with the desire not to get lost.
The central approach in my work (both in theater and in the visual arts) is always the technique of collage - the dismantling, assembly, combination of elements from other contexts and their integration into new perspectives, scenes, actions - and images.
My SEA MAPS are based on world maps and nautical cartography from historical times to the present and combined with artifacts of today's global economy: shipping containers filled with everything we need, want and waste.
After working in Barcelona, Neusiedl am See and Malaga, I am currently living and working again in Vienna, Austria.
My work is also represented by the galleries Saatchi Art and Singulart.
Solo and Group Exhibitions to Date:
2017 – Began work on GET LOST / SEAMAPS - Collage Art, shifting focus from performing arts to visual arts during a stay in Málaga, Spain (2017–2020).
2019 – Participation in ARTMUC Munich with two selected SEAmaps and a series of SEAngles.
2020 – First solo exhibition featuring SEAmaps at the Gallery of the City of Wels / Medienkulturhaus.
2020 – Solo exhibition at lichtraum eins in Vienna (postponed due to COVID-19).
2020 – Solo exhibition SEAmaps at Pannopticum International Festival, Neusiedl am See.
2021 – Exhibition at Red Carpet Art Award Showrooms Vienna / BasisKunstMesse Vienna.
2021 – Participation in TransformARTE, Eisenstadt, Austria.
2021 – Participation in ARTMUC Munich with two selected SEAmaps and a series of SEAngles.
2021 – First solo exhibition in Vienna at ArtWorkSpace Vienna.
2022 – Participation in INCorporating Art Fair Hamburg in HafenCity.
2022 – Participation in ARTMUC Munich.
2022 – Exhibition Open Studio for "offen / bildende kunst burgenland" at Friedrichshof.
2022 – Participation in Superm'ART Art Fair in Nuremberg.
2022 – Solo exhibition in Oberschützen at the Gallery in the House of Folk Culture, Burgenland.
2023 – Participation in Wintergalerie, St. Pölten.
2023 – Participation with Fine Art Prints in the group exhibition “Lichte Momente 3” at Kunsttankstelle Vienna.
2023 – Exhibition Open Studio for "offen / bildende Kunst burgenland" at Friedrichshof.
2023 – Participation in TransformARTE Art Fair, Eisenstadt.
